I am smiling now

On Tuesday I finally did it and signed upto the paid version of the Shortcut Bulletin, one of the articles that I got was one discussing my success on the internet. I read it and thought, yup you are of course correct, then I went to have a look at this website and I couldn't find it!

My website, the one I pay for had gone, address unknown and no sign of Elvis, I was not smiling when I went to bed. Apparently the server had been mucked up and needed to be cleansed, great my site was now available, but instead of this page there was a white page with a hackers declaration of ownership, still not smiling.

The blog had been taken over, and several pages had been subjected to the similar treatment, the blog was deleted and the pages reloaded, then I remembered that article. I am a small company and by my website I am killing my company, there is no we, just me.

The article made that instead of pretending to be Igor PLC, I and every other small business should highlight their advantages of personal attention and efficiency, thus your website should reflect this by being small and focussed. No more attempt to write thousands of articles or conquer the world, over the next few weeks this site will return to the focal point that I always intended it to be. It is not an ecommerce site, as I don't have the expertise or time to ensure the security of your data, thus I don't keep it. This is stored by one of the service companies that I use, their reputation relies on their security, thus they have to ensure that they get that right. This site was intended to be a directory of all things avelcomms and that is where I will return it to.
